Used Lexus Manufacturer
You may think that Lexus is a car manufacturer that has been around for many decades but in fact Lexus was founded in the 1980s by Toyoda who was the very man that founded one of the leading car manufacturers which was Toyota. Lexus was probably founded by Toyota in order to develop a top of the range vehicle which could compete with the likes of Mercedes Benz, BMW or any other car manufacturer which offered higher quality vehicles than middle of the range cars. Most of the high end car manufacturers are based in Europe.
For most of their history Lexus have kept an excellent reliability record and for the most part they have focused on safety. However in the last week Lexus have had to recall 7 of their models. There are 270,000 cars in total which need to be recalled due to an engine fault which can cause the engine to stall. Toyota recalled the Lexus models firstly in Japan but there are likely to be more models in different countries which need to be recalled. There are new and used Lexus vehicles that are affected which will cost Toyota money and the Lexus brand name will probably be affected to a certain extent. This is the last think Toyota needed. It has been a tough year for Toyota which started in September of 2009. There were several vehicles which needed to be recalled because of the amount of different problems within the production process of certain Toyota models. This could be a similar problem that we have seen with new and used Lexus vehicles. Toyota has been quick to recall the new and used Lexus vehicles mainly because of the problems in the USA when Toyota knew about the fault several months before Toyota actually did anything about it. The situation was so bad that the Toyota president was called by the President of the USA to apologise to the US people. The Toyota president did so and cried as he read his speech out to the world. Some cynical people have suggested that the US government deliberately did this so Americans would revert back to purchasing American vehicles such as Ford instead of a new or used Toyota or new or used Lexus.
I really do like most of the new and used Lexus models because they look stylish and great when you are travelling to business meetings for example because it makes a good impression. There are a number of used Lexus vehicles available which I really would like to purchase if I ever had the chance. There are several examples such as Lexus IS 250, Lexus GS 450h and LS 600h. Most of the vehicles are available in a hybrid vehicle version which is where Toyota has concentrated on their research and development costs. Now there is a wide selection of new and used Lexus hybrid vehicles which means you don’t have to pay road tax in most cases. This is an excellent way of driving a powerful vehicle with lower running costs.
